Champion Raceway and Soroptimist International of Medford are coming together to raise awareness for women in our community battling a breast cancer diagnosis and the financial burdens that accompany such a journey.

Champion Raceway is hosting a diesel drag race, power wheels race, and test & tune race on October 4, 2014. The gates will open at 3pm with racing beginning at 5pm to recognize those with breast cancer, and you’re invited. We will have our third floor VIP room open to sponsors, which will be catered for your enjoyment.

Champion Raceway and Soroptimist International of Medford will raise awareness with a silent auction from baskets that have donated from individuals and businesses locally, a 50/50 raffle, and prizes. This local event is part of a worldwide recognition of breast cancer in the month of October.

Major advances in cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment have resulted in the best survival rates to date; therefore, there are a growing number of breast cancer survivors in our local area. However, a cancer diagnosis can leave a host of problems in its wake. Physical, financial, and emotional hardships often persist after diagnosis and treatment. Breast cancer survivors may face many challenges such as inadequate or no insurance and financial hardships. Come and support those women surviving breast cancer in our community. All proceeds will go to Sorpotimist International of Medford and will assist those traveling the journey of recovery with financial assistance, post mastectomy garments, and prostheses.

WHEN: October 04, 2014
WHERE: Champion Raceway 6900 Kershaw Rd. Central Point, OR. 97502

We ask that you come out and support the women in our community traveling the journey of a breast cancer diagnosis.

About us:

Champion Raceway is a NHRA sanctioned 1/4 mile drag strip located in the Jackson County All Sports Park, just north of the Medford City Limits.

The raceway has been in existence since 1979 and  is currently operated by Kirk Hobson and  Michelle Hobson.  This is a family operated business and everyday we are trying new ways to bring drag racing back to Jackson  ANNUAL  BURN OUT FOR BREAST CANCER WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO BREAST CANCER PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS IN FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS.

There are multiple ways to be a part of this great facility. They range from a sign on the track to a major race sponsor.

Champion Raceway provides a family friendly atmosphere filled with exciting racing to thousands of participants and spectators who could be potential customers. Thank you for taking the time to review these great opportunities.
